This notice explains, in plain English, how Electrical Contractor & Solar Specialists (Pty) Ltd, trading as Electrical & Solar Specialist, handles your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you use our booking, estimate, care plan, estate partner or solar forms, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, physical address and suburb, photos you upload of the job, and electricity bills you choose to share.

Why we collect it

We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, book and confirm work, and deliver and follow up on the services you asked for.

Marketing

We only send tips, offers or updates if you have ticked the opt-in box. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message, or by contacting us.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the business (such as email and hosting providers), and only as needed.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, for our records of work done and certificates issued, or as required by law. After that it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
