We look at the circuit first
A motor that dies twice a year is usually being fed badly — a bad earth, a shared circuit, moisture in the supply. Because we are electricians first, the diagnosis starts at the board. That is often the difference between a repair and a third replacement motor.
- My gate stopped during load shedding. Is the motor gone?
- Usually not — most often it's the backup battery. Send a WhatsApp photo of the motor and we can normally tell you before we arrive.
- Do you service gates you didn't install?
- Yes, all common brands. An annual service is far cheaper than an out-of-hours replacement.
- Is a gate service on the care plans?
- One gate motor service a year is included on the Complete and Business plans.
