Inspections & compliance

Need a CoC before transfer? We inspect within days.

Inspections are normally booked within two working days, and the certificate is issued within one working day of a pass. If the transfer date is tight, phone 083 383 1966 and say so.

What we inspect and certify

  • Certificate of Compliance for property sale or transfer
  • Renewal of an expired certificate — anything older than two years generally needs reissuing before transfer
  • Pre-purchase electrical inspection before you sign
  • Fault finding with a written fault report
  • Inspections required by an insurer or a bank
  • Solar and inverter installation inspections

A certificate is a statement, not a formality.

Signing a CoC means a registered person is standing behind that installation. That is why we inspect properly, tell you plainly what fails, and quote the corrections separately from the inspection. You are never charged for repairs you didn't approve.

My transfer is being held up. How fast can you come?
Inspections are usually booked within two working days, and same-day where a transfer date is at risk. Call us rather than emailing if it's urgent.
When do I get the certificate?
If the installation passes, the certificate is issued within one working day of the inspection. If it doesn't, you get a written list of exactly what must be corrected and what it will cost — no vague findings.
My certificate is from 2019. Is it still valid?
Generally not for a transfer. A certificate older than two years is normally reissued, and any work done since it was issued needs to be covered too.
Who can issue it?
Only a registered person. Every certificate we issue is signed off by a registered master electrician and the work is inspected against SANS 10142-1.
